Interesting Pilot Credit

I like this credit, but I don't think the language is clear. The beginning of the credit tells me that I need to have at least one main stair. Ok - understood.

Do the windows in the stairways need to be 8 square feet at each level? I have a 3 story stairwell with a narrow window that runs the length of the stairs. It is 19 feet by 1 foot.
