I am having a hard time understanding the criteria for "unobstructed view". Does it have to do with interior space layout and the depth of the space in relation to the exterior window? Thanks

I am working on a dormitory project with mainly single bedrooms. Can I count these rooms like private offices and not have to calculate the actual area in each space?
