Reduced number of EPDs for datacenters

LEED reduced the number of EPDs required for Core & Shell / Warehouses to 10. Any idea of they would be open to only 10 for datacenters? One could argue the same logic to Core & Shell / Warehouses applies to data centers as well since many do not have many occupied space as part of them.

Hi Jill, good question. The thinking was that data centers tend to have more materials and finishes on the whole than CS or Warehouses (thus more EPDs in publication are applicable to Data Center scopes of work). But we are open to feedback and any stats you may have. Please submit ideas here and we will take it into consideration for v4.1: https://www.usgbc.org/leedv41/proposal
