Retail-NC-v4.1 IPc1:Integrative Process

Calculating Regular Building Occupants (1o staff members, 5 part time employees working 4 hours a day, adnd 150 customers

A question I am struggling with:

Retail project will have 15 full-time employees, 10 staff members, and 5 part-time employees that each work 4 hours daily. On average there will be 150 customers each day. What is the total of regular building occupants for the project?

You calculate FTE (Full Time Equivalency). A full timer is 1 FTE. A part-timer is 0.5 FTE. A customer is the typical time a customer spends in the store divided by 8 hours.
