A'22 - Who's Going?

Hi - I don't comment on here often (and frankly need to follow more closely than I do...) but I'm sure BuildingGreen will have something.  Nadav is moderating a panel on Small Firms making a pivot to sustainablity for which 3 BG Peer Network members are panelists.  Was supposed to be part of A'20 but we all know how that went.... And Kjell - looking forward to meeting you since, I beleive, a presentation you were supposed to do for AIA St. Louis got scuttled by the pandemic as well.

I'm unfortunately not able to attend, but Nadav did mention yesterday in the SMEPL call that there would likely be a BuildingGreen meetup as part of the conference.

Hi all, BuildingGreen will indeed be hosting a meetup in conjunction with the AIA Conference! We're still working out some of the details, but here's what we have so far in case it affects your travel plans: In the afternoon on Tuesday, June 21 we'll hold a Chicago Region Mini-Summit (à la the Boston Mini-Summit last fall). This will be open to members of all five Peer Networks and will include time to visit with each other, time to dive into a few locally-relevant topics chosen by participants, and time to explore the work and value of regional groups. Folks coming from out of town can join, with the knowledge that Chicago-specific topics will be the focus. There will be a cost for the Mini-Summit. That evening (Tuesday, June 21) we'll have a Show & Tell and reception open to all Peer Network members and guests. For those who haven't experienced our Show & Tells before, this is a round-up of 5-minute presentations from you all on a wide variety of topics. Check out the bottom section of the Resources Page for a small sampling of past presentations. There will be no cost for the Show & Tell and reception. I'll report back soon with more specifics and registration!

I live in Chicago and am volunteering at some of the conference events so highly likely that I would indeed be able to attend a pre-conference SDL event.  And also may run into many of you at some of the sessions!  :)

  Hi folks,  people on my panel just discovered this hidden curve ball; I thought you would want to know before traveling to Chicago. The attestation form you'll be asked to sign when you get to the Conference requires that you've been Covid-free for at least 14 days. 
  Just a heads-up in case that affects your plans. I hope not, and that I'll see you there!   For our show-and-tell and mini-Summit we're just requiring a negative test if you've had COVID recently. Please consider testing the day of regardless to help keep us all safe.

Unfortunately, Covid struck our house last week, so I have canceled my Chicago plans. I will miss catching up with y'all and look forward to gathering at Greenbuild!

I am fully vaccinated, and as of this morning, COVID-free. I'm already in Chicago for a client workshop tomorrow (meaning I'll miss the mini-summit) so I'll see everyone tomorrow evening! Betsy
