Interior Lighting Credit: Surface Reflectance Exemptions for Theatrical or Performance Areas

I'm working on a project that needs to document surface reflectance to pursue the second point under Interior lighting. The challenge is that several regularly occupied spaces are performance-oriented and are intentionally designed with dark finishes to maintain focus on the stage.

Are there any exclusions or alternative compliance paths for surface reflectance in these types of spaces? The requirements seems geared toward office environments, and I've noticed that both Daylight and Quality Views include exemptions for spaces that need to maintain A/V equipment for conferencing or similar.

I'm unable to find an exemption in the guidebook overall for a theatrical or performance space, but I'm wondering if anyone has submitted their project with an exemption narrative that might be able to speak to this.
