ASTM tests for BECx

Hallo, we are trying to pursue Option 3 1.We are encountering difficulties finding a provider to test a window assembly under ASTM-331. Can we design an in-house test to be performed by the general contractor or does it have to be a certified provider? 2.Is there a minimum set of tests to be performed on the building envelope (blow door, air leakage...) or is it to the BECx Agent's discretion? 1. I mean we are finding difficulties in finding a provider to perform FIELD TESTS. Instead, we would like to do the tests by ourselves, following ASTM/AAMA standards. Is this acceptable?

Alicia - it is my understanding that the tests need to be overseen by a third party. This may be that you can do the physical work but not without the third party. As for your second question, I belive that you need to test each condition if you are not doing a blower test. Blower tests aren't effective in large structures and not typically done in hospitals.
