Looking for energy efficient police and fire stations

I am looking for examples of police stations and fire stations that are operating at an ENERGY STAR or better level.  Google searches have not provided much to go on - I found one net zero energy police station (Cincinnati Police District 3 West Side).  Curiously, Justice Facilities Review write ups do not include details about energy performance... So I'm hoping this group can point me to some police and/or fire stations operating (or designed to operate) with an EUI under 40.  Thanks in advance!

Try looking up Seattle Fire Stations 20 and 22. I'm ot exactly sure what both of their performance levels are but they are two of our newer stations and have full solar arrays on top of both of them.

The North Fire Station in Acton, MA which is designed to be net zero just opened in 2022. _______________________________________ Katherine Bubriski, AIA CPHC, LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Ambassador Principal | Director of Sustainability & Building Performance 617.666.7006 Direct Arrowstreet 10 Post Office Square Suite 700N Boston MA 02109 _______________________________________ arrowstreet.com Follow us on LinkedIn | Instagram

Cincinnati District 3 Police Station is ours.  It has 24/7 operations and operating at 26.7 EUI before PV offset.  There is a 329kW solary array offsetting ~160% of usage.  It was built in 2015.  Let me know what info you are interested in!

For fire stations, I am mostly writing to support what has been said earlier. It looks like Energy Star for Fire Stations is now EUI 64. In the Pacific Northwest, FS72 that Kjell linked to is the best with an operating EUI around 30. In Seattle, FS20 is the best performer of the most recent set of Fire Stations constructed under the levy in the 2000's. It has a measured building EUI of 40, before renewable contribution (we did a post-levy evaluation that included energy performance). Our firm is currently finishing CDs on a station we hope will operate at less than 40. There is also a passive house/Canada Zero Carbon fire station in Vancouver BC. https://www.introba.com/work/projects/vancouver-fire-hall-17 I recommend thinking about Fire Stations and Police Stations differently even though they are lumped together in CBECS and Energy Star and others. The residential component of the fire stations plus the apparatus bay function makes them pretty different. Jim Jim Hanford, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Principal The Miller Hull Partnership, LLP
