James, For a TI project, the key to always remember is that you only have to account for the aspects of the building that are within your scope of work. If the VAV equipment on the roof is currently in place, you don't need to account for it. If you're installing VAV boxes, you need to account for those, but not the rest of the system. To address your zoning specific question, you only are required to zone them separately if they're served by a stand alone HVAC system. Paul
